Students from a considerable radius of Brockville and Smiths Falls were involved in an interactive learning experience about the concerns and issues of alcohol and other drug use and safety.
Students demonstrated their learned knowledge by answering questions both verbally and on a short questionnaire.
Schools were provided a means to deliver the alcohol and other drug information to their students in ways which satisfied several curriculum requirements through an accredited teaching package.
Students and volunteers continue to wear their Racing Against Drugs shirts and use the Racing Against Drugs waterbottles around the area, serving as reminders of the event and the lessons learned.
School classes and their libraries have improved materials and resources from the information kits provided by Racing Against Drugs.
Public education was improved via media, open house, and children.
